Say it with zombies…

My new range of Alternative Valentine’s Cards will be available next week from the Daemon237 Etsy shop!

Here’s a work in progress of the first design…

Stay tuned for updates, boils and ghouls!

November 23, 2016

Here’s the original artwork for my “Humbug!” alternative zombie Christmas card, available now from the Daemon237 Etsy shop.

Each of the five zombie card designs began as traditional artwork, rendered with dip pen, brush, ink and an enormous Sharpie Magnum! Digital colour was added before going to print.

I’m setting up the Daemon237 brand along with my colleague and pal (the mysterious Dr El Santovian) as an outlet for my Cult, Horror and Sci-Fi themed artwork. We’ll be scream-printing T-Shirts, cards, prints, badges, courier bags…anything really!

We’re a two man operation, trying this new venture in our spare time and connecting with fellow fans, freaks and geeks through social media and trading at conventions around the uk.

We’re even on the Instagram!

Please do join us on your platform of choice and keep an eye for us at UK conventions!

Zombies & Tattoos 2016

November 11, 2016

I was at Sheffield Tattoo Show last weekend (Nov 5th & 6th), drawing unique Zombie Caricatures and selling original Scream-Printed T-Shirts, Greeting Cards and Stickers from Daemon237!

The venue was Ice Sheffield, an ice arena that was given a tremendous tattoo makeover.

It was a jam-packed weekend, and I drew a lot of zombies!

Above is a work in progress zombie caricature, a pentel brush pen, a cup from atop a flask, Daemon237 alternative Christmas cards and Daemon237 Scream-Printed T-Shirts, all sat on my special sequined convention table covering!

We’re on Instagram!

It was a busy couple of days, and very enjoyable. I met a lot of amazing people, and had a blast with fellow traders- a bunch of friendly, genuine and talented ne’er do wells, all striving to make an independent living through their small businesses.

Burning Sensations Pyrography- just brilliant!

A special mention goes to Burning Sensations Pyrography who were trading a few stops down from me- you really need to check out their stunning creations, and buy some as Crimbo pressies, or just to treat yourself!

Here’s looking forward to next year’s Tattoo Show.

Check out their entire range of alternative/horror greeting cards.

Each card is a reproduction of my original hand-drawn artwork, scanned, coloured, and digitally printed for a vibrant alternative to the usual Xmas fare.

Come, Friendly Bombs – a comic full of bile! — missytassles

November 4, 2016

I needed a project to express my disgust and dismay with today’s world, but in a creative way. I recalled Betjeman’s poem ‘Slough’ and, upon re-reading it, felt it perfectly communicates a sense of utter revulsion at the scenes it presents. It was not difficult at all to relate Betjeman’s words to the modern climate. […]

FatRobot Etsy Shop-Tripods prints go live!

July 13, 2016

My Etsy shop is up and crawling! For starters there’re a few sketch cards and prints, with more in the coming months.

FatRobot’s Etsy Shop!

Here’re my prints based on a made up 1980s Saturday morning kid’s cartoon of John Christopher’s The Tripods! (keep it simple and you can’t go wrong, kids).

You can also get yourself a smashing Zombie Caricature like the ones below-

The perfect gift for any occasion!

I’ve got loads more in the offing, keep checking in for more fantastic prints and original artwork.

Tee Time.

January 21, 2016

Here’s my latest T-Shirt design for Rockwell’s Speed Shop. It’s a retro piece based on 1960s motorcycle iconography, and screenprinted for a real quality finish.

Cafe Racer.

The design was created traditionally- dip pens, brush and ink on Bristol Board.

Traditional artwork with added vintage ruler.

The design printed really well onto quality T-Shirts. In the next pic you can see me giving a ‘thumb up’ like The Fonz.

Heeeeeeeeeey! (like Fonzie).

If anyone wants to buy a swell Cafe Racer shirt and look super cool this season, send me a private message. I don’t have them in stock, but I know a man that does.

The Tripods- The Pool Of Fire!

December 2, 2015

Here’s the third of my prints based on John Christopher’s The Tripods  books, reimagined as title cards to a made up 1980s cartoon series! When I go niche, I really go niche.

The third book was never adapted by the BBC into a live action show so we didn’t get to see the hero, Will Parker, out Tripod baiting on a green horse.

Will (on the right) Parker.

My Three Tripods prints will soon be available at my sparse Etsy shop!

They’re A3 size and professionally printed on quality 170gsm, silk finish paper.

The other prints can be enjoyed here and here!

Cheers ‘ears!
